Raising cattle is our passion
With more than five generations of farming tradition, raising cattle is the passion we start from.
At Two Alvin’s Cattle, we believe the land and cattle are equally important. All of our cattle come from premium breeding, are pasture-raised and finished on feed to achieve superior marbling.
Dry aged
Our beef is dry aged for 21 days, making it more tender and flavorful.
(Grocery stores age beef for only 5-7 days.)

Here’s how it works
1. Choose your amount
Select one of the following packages or visit our store for more options. If you’re ordering a quarter, half or whole beef we’ll give you an estimate for your total cost, which will include the cost of the beef and the cost for processing.
Since these costs are based on the weight of the animal, you’ll get the final cost once they are taken to the butcher.
2. Reserve your spot
To reserve your order, a non-refundable deposit is required. The balance will be due when the steer is taken to the butcher.
Once we receive your deposit, we’ll send you information to help you choose your cuts for the whole or half beef.
3. Pick up your beef
50 Lb Butchers Box
Variety of cuts include Ribeyes, Sirloins and NY Strip, Round Steaks, Chuck and shoulder roasts. Boxes also include a variety of flank steak, skirt steak, ribs, hamburger, and stew meat.
75 Lb Butchers Box
Variety of cuts include Ribeyes, Sirloins and NY Strip, Round Steaks, Chuck and shoulder roasts. Boxes also include a variety of flank steak, skirt steak, ribs, hamburger, and stew meat.
Quarter Beef
The quarter beef package will be an equal division of a half beef and we will work with the butcher on the cut order to ensure a fair division. You’ll get about 125 pounds
Half Beef
Will give you about 250 pounds of meat to take home. A side of beef will feed a family of four for a year.
Whole Beef
Approximately 500 pounds of meat, which will consist of around 100 pounds premium steaks, 100 pounds roasts or round steaks, 60 pounds ribs and thin cuts (flank, skirt, flat iron), 2 whole briskets, and the remaining in ground beef and stew meat.
Cut Choices for
Whole and Half Beef
If you order a Whole Beef or Half Beef, you can choose which cuts you get, thickness of steaks and how they are packaged. We will arrange for the butcher to contact you about your order. The butcher will also contact you about picking up your order once it’s ready.
If you’re unfamiliar with the process, or would like recommendations, we would be happy to ensure you get exactly what you want.
Butchering Pricing & Info
We will cover the kill fee for each animal, so if you ordered a whole, side or quarter of beef, processing costs paid directly to the butcher will be approximately $1.00 – $1.25/lb of Hanging Weight, and can go up from there depending on your cut and packaging choices.
This price will include vacuum-sealed packaging. We will give you the final processing cost estimate once we drop off your steer. Our beef is processed at state-inspected facilities.
